NewRo Runners & NYCRUNS present
Now in it’s 5th year and well on it’s way to becoming one of Westchester’s premier running events, New Ro Runners welcomes seasoned competitors and those eager to try out America’s running event, The Mile!
The North Avenue Mile will test accomplished veterans of track and trail while giving new runners, kids and families the thrill of running in a professionally managed, electronically timed USATF certified one-mile road race through the heart of historic New Rochelle.
Concerned about the competition? Don’t be! You can choose whether or not you want to compete in an age appropriate competitive wave or opt in to the more relaxed family wave. See the Registration section below for details.
North Avenue will be closed to traffic for the duration of the event.

Holistic services include: a 24-hour crisis hotline, two emergency residential shelters, one-on-one and group counseling for adults and children, a Center for Legal Services, professional outreach and a vibrant tween/teen education and prevention program. MSP strives to engage each member of society in their work so that all relationships can embrace the principles of respect, equality, and peacefulness.
The North Avenue Mile is produced in partnership with NYCRUNS. After timing the race since its inception in 2013, NYCRUNS will now have a larger role managing the event as part of its mission to work together with local running clubs to make great events happen in their communities. Please note, you MUST run in the wave you were assigned in order to receive an accurate time and be eligible for awards. (If you want to run for fun in the family wave AND be timed in a competitive wave, select “competitive”)
